NAMED EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS


TENNESSEE CCIM CHAPTER

Following are the Named Education Scholarships that are fully funded by the Tennessee CCIM Chapters including East Tennessee CCIM Chapter, Memphis Metro CCIM Chapter and Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.

EAST TENNESSEE CCIM CHAPTER

H. Pat Wood Memorial Scholarship

H. Pat Wood (1928-2012) was a founder and principal of LawlerWood and Wood Properties, Inc. (now known as SVN | Wood Properties), later serving as Chairman of both firms. Having spent more than thirty years in the real estate industry, he was past chairman of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission and was awarded the designation of Certified Property Manager by the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Don Brewer CCIM Memorial Scholarship
Established – 04/01/2019
Don Brewer photoAfter nearly a twenty-year career as a tennis professional in Dallas, TX, Don Brewer decided to start a new career in commercial real estate in 1995. After moving back to East Tennessee, Mr. Brewer went to work with Wood Realtors as an affiliate broker, working on commercial and development transactions. Mr. Brewer immediately began pursuing his CCIM designation. By the year 2000, Mr. Brewer started his own company, Realty Investment Services, a full-service boutique commercial real estate firm and achieved his CCIM designation.

Cherie Ganesh has always been a leader and someone who can guide others on committees and in their careers. From the time she joined the chapter until now, she has always jumped in whenever needed and helped get the job done. Martin Edwards, Jr., CCIM Scholarship

Martin Edwards Jr., CCIM, of Memphis, Tennessee, is President of Edwards Management, Inc. Realtors. He began his real estate career in 1965 and became the first commercial practitioner in the Memphis area to earn the CCIM designation in 1975. Martin is a CCIM instructor, and served CCIM Institute as President in 1989. He also served the National Associations of Realtors as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer in 1996 and 1997, and as President in 2002.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE CCIM CHAPTER

Holly Buchanan CCIM Scholarship

Holly Buchanan photoHolly Buchanan, CCIM, serves as Senior Director at Katz & Associate’s Nashville office, which she helped open in 2017, and has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate in the Southeast region. Holly has been a driving force in the growth and development of the Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter. She has served in many Board positions through the years, including President in 2015, and is still an active member of the Board today. Holly has served at the National level on various committees and is currently serving as the Regional Activities Vice Chair. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) where she has served in numerous leadership roles and is a past president of the Commercial Women in Real Estate (CREW) – Nashville chapter. Holly is a proud CCIM showcasing her skills in our community both professionally and personally.

Montgomery G. Turner, Sr. Memorial CCIM Scholarship

Monte Turner, CCIM, is the President of Turner & Associates Realty, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee. He has three decades of experience working in the commercial real estate industry with a primary focus on retail development. Mr. Turner received his CCIM designation in 1996 and has long been an advocate for the Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter. He served as President of the Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter in 2004 and was later an RVP for Region 6.

Jim Dunn CCIM Scholarship

James Dunn photoJim Dunn is President of Keystone Realty Services a commercial and investment real estate brokerage and property management firm operating primarily in the Nashville-Middle Tennessee market area. His real estate focus is assisting users and investors in acquiring property and he has more than 35 years of experience in this market area. He has been involved in the brokerage and management of retail, office, warehouse and multi-family properties. Mr. Dunn is also a business broker. In the early 1980’s he was chief administrative officer of a regional brokerage and property management company. Mr. Dunn has been active in the Greater Nashville and Tennessee Associations of REALTORS and has co-chaired long- range planning committees for both of these organizations. Mr. Dunn holds both the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Certified Property Manager (CPM) Designations. He received his CCIM designation in 1974 and was an instructor in the CCIM designation courses for 20 years and has been awarded Life Membership status in the CCIM Institute.

Richard Fulton CCIM Scholarship

Richard Fulton photoDick Fulton, CCIM, of Nashville, Tennessee, is Vice President of Colliers International and has more than 30 years of experience assisting corporations with their commercial real estate needs. He has taught CCIM courses throughout North America for 15 years. Dick has served as a president of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, Commercial Investment Division of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, and Commercial Investment Division of the Tennessee Association of Realtors. He is also a past chairman of both the Legislation Committee for the National Association of Realtors® and the Education Committee of CCIM Institute.
