Following are the Named Education Scholarships that are fully funded by the Hawaii CCIM Chapter to
honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial
real estate industry, and their communities.

Leil Koch Trust Scholarship
Established – 04/16/2020 Leil Koch, CCIM, is President and CEO of Equity One Real Estate, Inc., with four offices on Maui: Lahaina, Pukalani, Makawao, and Paia. A 25‐year commercial & residential real estate veteran, he has been involved in the real estate industry since 1981. He also holds the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), CPM (Certified Property Manager), CRB (Certified Residential Broker), and MRICS (Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) designations. Koch also was awarded the Hawaii Association of Realtors – Realtor of the Year – for 2010, and the Hawaii CCIM Chapter Member of the Year in 2006. Leil Koch was the 2012 National CCIM Institute President, the 46th President of the Institute and the first CCIM national officer to hail from Hawaii. Tina Egsegian Yap Scholarship
Established – 4/10/2018 Tina Yap has been the pillar of the CCIM Hawaii Chapter since becoming its Chapter Administrator in 2005. Her dedication and hard work on both local and national levels are the reason why the Chapter Board of Directors has seamless transitions every year. The Board of Directors of the Hawaii CCIM Chapter attributes the success of the chapter to Tina’s “perfect” organizational and administrative skills. J. Allen Johnson CCIM Scholarship
Established – 12/11/2007 Allen Johnson, CCIM, of Honolulu, Hawaii, was a World War II veteran and CCIM instructor. He managed his own real estate exchange business for several decades, and was one of the founding members of the Hawaii CCIM Chapter. Allen passed away in 2006. James K. Trask CCIM Scholarship
Established – 11/22/2006 Jimmy Trask, CCIM, of Kailua, Hawaii, developed shopping centers, retail complexes and office buildings, as well as residential projects. He was a CCIM senior instructor, and one of the founding members of the Hawaii CCIM Chapter. Jimmy passed away in 2007.
