GEORGIA CCIM CHAPTER

Following are the Named Education Scholarships that are fully funded by the Georgia CCIM Chapter to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.

Leslie G. Callahan, III CCIM Scholarship

Leslie G. Callahan, III photoLeslie G. Callahan, III, CCIM is President of First Colony Financial Corporation, a real estate leasing, property management, and development firm founded in 1982. Les is a long-standing member of the Georgia CCIM Chapter and has the CCIM organization for over 37 years, including serving as the 2008 President of the Georgia CCIM Chapter. He has also served the CCIM Institute as a member of various committees, including service as Chairman and Presidential Liaison for the Member Services Committee. Currently, Les is serving on the Executive Leadership team as the Treasurer of the CCIM Institute and Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Robert M. White CCIM Scholarship

Bob White, CCIM, of Atlanta, Georgia, is an agent with Adams Commercial Real Estate. Before entering the commercial real estate industry, he served as a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, and then worked 20 years as a Geological Engineer and Geophysicist. Bob is an active member of the Georgia CCIM Chapter, currently serving as the Candidate Guidance Chair.

Edward A. Walsh CCIM Memorial Scholarship

Edward A. Walsh, CCIM of Macon, Georgia served as president of Georgia CCIM Chapter in 1997. Ed was a graduate of The University of Georgia and earned his MBA from Georgia College and State University. In 1994 Mr. Walsh co-founded The Summit Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm serving Macon and middle Georgia. Mr. Walsh passed away in 2015 at 55 from a brain tumor and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Kevin K. McBride Memorial Scholarship

Kevin K. McBride photoKevin K. McBride of Cumming, Georgia served as Georgia CCIM Chapter’s finance manager from 2008 until 2015. Kevin, a native of New York, earned a BA from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York and an MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. In addition to his duties for Georgia CCIM Kevin was the controller for First Colony Financial Corporation for nearly fifteen years and the part-time controller of the Lionheart School, a school for autistic children co-founded by his wife Victoria in 2000. Mr. McBride passed away in 2015 from a rare form of leukemia and is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
